All of today was spent traveling of course. It was a three hour drive to Guatemala City, so we had to leave San Lucas at 7am. Then a three hour flight from Guatemala City to Atlanta, Georgia. And another three hour layover before our final flight to Bradley International Airport. However we had an awesome American dinner at TGI Fridays during our layover and had plenty of time to charge our phones. Overall we will be spending about 15 hours of traveling today alone. It will be worth it when we are home with our families and in our own beds. We are wishing safe travels to those who will be traveling to their final destination later on Sunday. Also HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY TO SHELBY!! We love you and are happy to have spent such a special day with you! :)
Thank you to all of our blog readers during this trip. We hope you enjoyed our adventures these past two weeks.
And a huge thank you to Dr. Northrup who had to be a father for 13 college students in the last portion of the trip. We know it was far from easy and you definitely did an awesome job taking care of all of us. (Don't worry Dr. Rust; we still love you too.)
