Day 1

What a first day! We met (very) early in the morning at the airport in Connecticut, and started our journey to Guatemala. After about 6 hours spread across two plane rides, we piled into our van and headed toward Xela. Here is our crew leaving the airport.

And here is the same bunch a few hours later. Notice the difference?

After a short nap, delicious lunch, and long ride we arrived at our hotel in Xela. Time to rest up for our visit to the hospital tomorrow.
